 What is Baby Shark Food?

  • 2 tbsp.  -for each pouch
  • 3 tbsp.  -for each pouch
  • 2 tbsp.  – for each pouch
  • 1 tbsp.  – for each pouch
  • 6 tsp.
  • Six medium carrots, peeled and chopped into small size pieces
  • Five ¼ cups + 1 ½ tablespoons organic unsweetened apple sauce (½ cup if using traditional plain yogurt)
  • 4 ½ cups water
  • 4 ½ cups organic whole milk (½ cup for older children)

Step 1

In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add oatmeal and simmer on low heat for about 25-30 minutes. Once all liquid is absorbed, mix thoroughly and serve.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, scoop the baby food puree into the bowl. Mix thoroughly with an immersion blender until completely smooth. The mixture should be very thick, the consistency of pudding when you hold a spoon above it and look down towards the bottom of the spoon (like this ).

Step 3

Now, it’s time to store the baby food puree. Pour the mixture into a yogurt maker or food processor and add 1½ tablespoons of apple sauce per pouch/jar (the exact amount will depend on the size of your containers). Please clean up your mixing bowl as you won’t need it anymore.

Step 4

Mix well until all ingredients are combined, and the grape spread is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Step 5

Place the yogurt maker in the refrigerator and let it sit overnight to be cold and firm. This step is important to get the baby food to stay firm and prevent a “gushy” texture.

Step 6

Pour the processed yogurt into containers or food storage jars and close tightly. Store in a cool, dark area for up to 1 week.

Step 7

Place frozen baby food on a plate in the freezer for 20 minutes to serve.
