Not really. Most fruits in Whole Foods are sprayed with pesticides or other chemicals, and they carry a high amount of fat and sodium.
Whole Foods also has a minimal selection of non-starchy vegetables, including genetically modified ones.
So don’t buy vegetables at Whole Foods anymore! You’re much better off buying them locally and supporting your local farmer or farmer’s market if you want to get the best possible produce.
How much are Whole Foods Chantilly cakes?
These Whole Foods cakes tend to cost between $7 to $10, depending on the size.
For comparison, a 16 ounce (approximate serving size) package of Chantilly cakes can be purchased for about $3 at Walmart and approximately $4.50 at Trader Joe’s.
The most expensive Whole Foods cake I’ve been able to find is a $20 Chantilly cake that contains 6 servings.
I’m not sure if the prices have changed recently, but $20 is a lot of money for small-size Whole Foods cakes, and I think it’s overpriced for what you’re getting.
Can you freeze Chantilly’s cake?
You can freeze Chantilly cake for up to 4 months when it’s still fresh.
To do so, place half of the fresh batter in a freezer-safe container, and freeze it for 1 month. To thaw it, leave it at room temperature for 1 hour and then place it back in the freezer for another 1 month. Thaw it out entirely before serving once you’re ready to eat the frozen Chantilly cake.
Whole Foods doesn’t have delicious desserts, and I’ve found that most of their Chantilly cakes are either too sweet or barely sweet enough. I think the highest quality Whole Foods cakes tend to be the ones that aren’t so heavily flavored with artificial sweeteners.
This is why I preferred to make my recipes for this review. With that said, there are some delicious Whole Foods cake mixes out there, and I can recommend any of them over others.
